I've had asthma all my life and am thinking about taking symbicort. Has
symbicort been approved in the USA?
Is it proving effective ?
ANy side effects like advair?
Thanks,
Laura
Hello
I tried it, and got awful heart racing symptoms within a few minutes. I
took another dose the following morning, and the same thing happened - I
was taken off it immediately, and THEN told it can be a side affect.
Back to Pulmicort and Bricanyl and happy (apart from when I need
prednisone - about 2-3 times a year) Hopefully you will be fine with it!
Good luck
Ruth

I've been taking it for allergies for about 6 months now. Started out
on 4 doses a day. I'm down to 2-4 a week.
I haven't had any side effects at all. I do gargle and rinse my mouth
after use. It works real fast and it helps me sleep some nights if I
start wheezing.
I take Aerius every day and on occassion some type of pain killer and
sometimes Gravol (dramamine?). I've noticed no side effects with that
mixture.
Hope that helps you out!
