30 y.o. competitive athlete with an adult onset asthma. It's been only
8 months since IT happenned to me (compared to what many folks here go
through), but I am already fed up with it, b/c I need my life back. No
luck with conventional drugs whatsoever.

I decided  to try a nutrition program. My doc ignore me asking "what
can I do other than intake products of organic sythesis?" Search on
"asthma" on Amazon yields 37846 Results. What would you recommend as
first ~3c hoices? Books by

Richard N. Firshein D.O.
Christopher H. Fanta, et al.
Fred M.D. Pescatore, Fred Pescatore

happenned to at the top of the 37846 list (for reasonds known to amazon
only). Any comments on these/other sources?

I liked _Life and Breath_ by Neil Schachter, MD although I was
sceptical about the nutrition program.  The book is full of sound,
simple, mostly inexpensive advice.

Thank you, Allison. Are you still skeptical about the nutrition part of
the book, after reading it? Other than the nutrition, I took all steps
to minimise exposure to allergens (moved to a carpet-free apartment,
enclosed bedding etc), and did not get any effect. So, nutrition is
what I am enthusiastic about, since I haven't touched that area yet.

Except in the case of known food allergies, the connection between
diet and asthma is murky.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained, but don't
get your hopes up about a dietary solution.
