I'm not going to be travelling for a long time yet, but when I do I
have questions, from Canada to USA.

1) Do I need doctor's letters for my medication? I think I have a
generalized one somewhere that I can use, or even on some forms.

2) Is my metal Combivent inhaler going to cause me grief going through
airport xray security? I don't think I need it anymore but see next
question.

3) Does my Symbicort have metal in the container? Won't this look like
a grenade in the xray? LOL

4) Symbicort is a powder. Ummm, is that going to cause me any grief at
xray?

TIA

~Melanie

PS, the airlines lost all my luggage over the years, so now I just
bring a carryon with me, so I won't be checking any luggage. :)

Not usually for normal meds. if you will be bringing large quantities
of morphine or something like that you may want to think about it.

It will set off the metal detector. If you keep it in the bag that goes
through x-ray or put it in the little tray with your other metal
objects from your pockets then there shoul dbe no problem.

I have no idea if it has metal or what it will look like on x-ray. If
they are concerned they will open your bag. If you have any doubts put
it where you can get to it easily.

It is always a good idea to not put meds and anything else you really
need in the checked luggage.
