Circulation problems due to Serevent

Hey have any of you guys had circulation problems due to Serevent?
In the first couple of months of taking this medication I noticed I was
having very bad cramps in my lower legs especially in the calf muscles.
I added calcium, magnesium and potassium supplements and the pain
seemed to lessen. But over time the cramping got worse and worse no
matter if I took these supplements or didn't. I put up with the pain
b/c I thought my asthma might worsen if I quit taking the Serevent.
Five years later the pain in my legs became unbearable. It took me
hours to get to sleep at night due to this intense cramping and pain in
my legs. I only noticed this pain once I got in bed.
But last fall, I noticed that my hands weren't getting enough blood
flow.
After being off this medication only one week, my hands are coming back
to life not to mention the toes on my right foot.

Anyone else experience anything else like this?

Cramps are a known side effect of bronchodilators (including albuterol and
Serevent). They usually are not that severe but they are known to happen so
it is not all that shocking that Advair caused the problem for you (and the
doc should have recognised it as a side effect if he was aware of the
cramps). Fortunately, not many people have this problem with it. It doesn't
have anything to do with circulation problems - the muscle just gets
stimulated and contracts when it is not supposed to. There are many causes
of cramps other than lack of blood flow.

Whatever the symptoms in your hands were, I'm sure there were also some
other explanations for them. I'm not saying it wasn't the Advair - just that
since, if anything, it would make the blood vessels open that I doubt it was
a lack of circulation.
