Does it work?

For some people, yes.  There are some regulars here who have had great
success with this.  Google the group for some of the many discussions about
this.

It worked for me.  I had asthma for 33 years until I was treated
with Azithromycin (once a week for twelve weeks), and I haven't
been on asthma meds since.  That was more than two years ago and
I'm now a forum moderator there.

Antibiotics will work when bacteria has either caused your
asthma, or made it worse.  Researchers feel asthma is caused by
different things.  My son had exercise induced asthma and his was
resolved a few months after mine was.   A friends son had pretty
severe asthma and his was resolved after my sons was.
