What to look for in a air purifier. I don't have asthma or allergies but have lost of digestive problems. I saw one on sale Profiles spa Ionic Air purifier with dual hepa filter for $44 Canadian dollars ($36 U.S) at Liquidation store. Also saw a VITAPUR ionizer with hepa filter for $30 and has * HIGH DENSITY HEPA FILTER REMOVES 99.7% OF AIRBORNE PARTICLES * FEATURES CARBON MESH FILTER AND IONIZER * 3-SPEED FAN WITH AUTO CONTROL AND 6-HOUR AUTO-TIMER * LIGHTWEIGHT & PORTABLE WITH STYLISH PLATINUM FINISH * IDEAL FOR UP TO 150 SQ.FT ROOM It is cheaper then the Profiles model but has more features. Have you considered looking at reviews and comparisons on allergybuyersclub.com (I have no affiliation, but I always check their reviews and charts) or epinions.com? I find both very helpful. Machines too small. A hunded and fifty square feet is not enough. I use a HEPA only and am happy with it. Expect to pay a little under two hundred: that's at the low end (like Honeywell, Vornado) But they've gotta' be big enough.
