Hello to all first off all!
I am treated for allergical asthma with Berodual and Symbicort for some
years now. At the beginning Symbicort had a stunning good effect! I felt
like new after some rather bad years I had.
After about a year I noticed that it is not working that well anymore, that
I need Berodual as well, even so a lot of classical symdoms, like caughing
and all that were not there.
I consulted several school medical doctors and they kept telling me that my
lung function and general lung condition is fine and that there would be no
need to worry.
After all that I got really fed up with it all and did not take any
mediciation any more - just the Berodual when I needed it. I did very well.
That was summer.
In the following winter it got naturally worse and I went back to
Symbiocort. After half a year of constantly taking it I am now experiencing
a lot of side effects, which my school medical doctor tells me are not
possible.
I have pain in my joints and tend to have heart problems after using the
medication - only takes about half an hour to develop those symdoms.
I am not experimenting around and notice, that the medication does not seam
to influence the status of my Asthma at all - only the side effects are
worse then ever.
My school medical doctor surely denies all that and thinks I am fussing
around.
Has anyone had similar experience with those medications or the combination
of both?
Have a good day!

Berodual (and ditec) is wisely not allowed in the States for containing
fenoterol. This substance was implicated in thousands of asthma deaths
in NZ. Berotec (fenoterol solution) was withdrawn from by German
market by the manufacturer 2005. At least you might try sticking to FDA
approved medication, if you don't know any better :-( Regards,
