I'm new to the wonderful world of asthma and have a few basic
questions.  What's the difference between a prescription inhaler like
Albuterol and an OTC inhaler like Primatene mist?  Is either better
than the other?  And do Bronkaid tablets do any good?

My thanks to anyone who can help me out with some answers.

Albuterol is approved by the FDA and contains safer ingredients
than Primatene Mist, which really doesn't even compare to
prescription drugs.

With adult onset asthma, you may want to check out
www.asthmastory.com and see if any of the studies there apply to
your situation.
