Doing research recently, I came across all the ozone documentation from the
ALA

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6502986/ is a summary of a study done on ozone
pollution.

You all probably already knew about it.  I am just wondering, how do y'all
who have allergic asthma differentiate your symptoms from irritant induced
flare-ups?

I myself have never had alergies to speak of, but the weather affects me
like mad!

Yeah, me too. I asked about the Ozone work at CDC and was told they think
that high Ozone levels lower the threshold for attacks - that it "sets you
up" for a bad day. Does that make sense?

Actually, it does.

Such a powerful chemical as ozone would be just the thing to put already
sensitive airways into a defensive state.  My guess is that it is
partially oxidizing the protective coating, causing it to break
down...doesn't work as effectively and makes you more prone to a
reaction (aka an attack).

public. If more of the general public knew more would be done. Its important
you do get this message out. Assume there is no reason by the way to do
those studies since the major energy and govt are NOT in the business to
inform or protect us, they are in business to protect who got them elected
and keeps them working.
The outrage that ozone and particulates REALLY are one of the few things
that really effect health now ( green tea and aspirin don't  anymore) is one
of the most important implications that are not told to people. Everyone
including me with asthma Should immediately move from areas of high ozone
and particulates. What ever it takes including sharing houses or apts or
whatever for every day in this poison is one less day of good health.
Sure some people here wont be affected either way but many will. I am
walking proof. If the studies were done that would be more proof
