I was advised to use Loratadine (Claritin) but YMMV. Do check with your
doctor _and_ pharmicist since the best for you depends on what other
meds you use.

For the seasonal allergies that were bringing tears to my eyes along
with a burning sensation a few weeks ago, my physician recommended
whatever OC drops contained naphasoline.
I went to the local Rite Aid, took out my reading glasses, looked at
some eyedrop boxes and sure enough came up with one listing the above,
along with an antihistamine.
Two drops twice a day in each eye brought me relief.---Jack

I would advise researching Hidden (delayed) Food Allergies. Hidden food
allergies can trigger these symptoms, and many others (acne, eczema,
asthma, migraines, psoriasis, hayfever, etc.). A naturopathic doctor is
a good person to talk to about this. Some foods in your diet can
trigger these symptoms up til 72 hours after you eat them. I am
allergic to corn (corn syrup, distilled vinegar, corn starch) and dairy
products. Many of the additives in processed foods are made from foods
that people are allergic to. You should be able to find some books at
the library that discuss Hiiden Food Allergies.
