'NECK PAIN STUDY

A much smaller, more traditional, and specific double-blind
study was conducted at Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Their researchers studied 20 patients with neck pain that had persisted for
at least eight weeks. For the first three weeks of the study, 10 patients
were exposed to a low-energy but high frequency electromagnetic field. The
other 10 patients (the placebo group) were subjected to the same procedures,
but without any magnetic force being applied. At the end of the three week
period, 9 of the patients who were actually treated reported "moderately" or
"much" less pain.

During the next three, all 20 patients wore electromagnetic
collars. At the end of the time, 17 out of the 20 were at least "moderately"
improved, leaving the researchers to conclude that this sort of
electromagnetic treatment is "frequently successful and without side
effects."
