I recommend to wear full plate mail armour , including helmet and
steel gauntlets to prevent arthritis.

Do at least 1 hour weapon practice each day, with the weapon of your
choice - the sword, the morning star, the battle-axe, the halbard, the
lance, the flail or crossbow.

Jousting once a week is great, too.

You know, our great ancestors in the Middle Ages never had arthritis,
so try some swordfighting in armour, it will help !

How do you know, they may have had it but not recorded it.

Van Gogh was doing paintings about it 100 or more years ago, look here

Hhhhm,  It seems the Jester is full of it.  Even the bones of cave men show
arthritis.   Even the mummies of 4000 years ago show arthritis.   The only
reason nights did not seem to have arthritis is that they did not live long
enough for it to be seen or they smelled so bad that no one would get close
enough to find out.   It is said that while not on a horse they could make
another person faint at 10 yards getting ready to do battle.   Just draw the
sword back and they would fall over if they took a deep breath and so would
the opponent.  LOLOLOL
