I suffer from severe Spinal Rheumatoid Arthritis, along with
Degenerative Disc Diease and Disc Desiccination (Drying up)  4 herniated
and 3 bluging and extruded disc, compressed spinal cord of the T8-9 and
T11-12, inpimgment nerve root in the same areas, plus mestatic diseased
heangioma at the C7T1 and T1-2, plus several other hamangiomas through
out the spine, as well as ankoylosis spondylosis, of the spine, spina
bifida, and Degenerative bone and joint disease.  I currently  take
Percocet and Duragesic patches, as the doctor put me on MSIR and Kadian,
but morphane doesn't agree with me, as I suffer with multitude of heart
problems, includign CHF, Occulsive small artary disease and
Superventricular Tachacardia, and A-Fibs, as well as PVC's, and A very
high Triglycide, Insulin Diabetic, and Peripheal Artery Disease, and
more.   The pain clinic states, I am so complex, they will not touch me.
I ran out of medication,  and now can not hardly walk, can not roll in
bed without help, can not dress my self, and  more.  The Pain Clinic, Dr
Villinga's office, stated, "Just stay on your pain medication, and take
one day at a time, as I do not know how  you are able to walk after
seeing your MRI's, you are truly remarkable." I can't  get my medication
s as the doctors don't want to write them, yet they tell me stay on your
medications, what do you suggest.  I've been through all and every test
and therapy etc. out there, and don't know what  to do?

Jeesh! I bet you do! And I tho't I had it bad...

Implanted electro-stimulators to help block the pain pathways? A higher
degree of transdermal (TENS). It would require someone with knowledge of
this type of implant surgery - neurosurgeon?

Only thing I can think of besides different medical combinations i.e.
narcotic/tricyclics etc. which have probably been tried. Good luck in
your search for relief.

Hi Kerry,,,,  RA is not involved in DDD and the like except for where the
head connects to the spine.   AS, like you said is but may not be the cause
of what has taken place in your back.   A wreck on a motorcycle might
though.   You must of gone to a specialist to find out most of what you have
said.  Go back to the doctor and expect help.....  If no help,,, its time to
get a good lawyer.
