Butterfly - 14 Jan 2006 19:10 GMT I have had 2 in the neck and one in the Sacroiliac joint. The Sacroiliac joint one helped the most. Now that we have our new Ins card I will be getting another one in my neck. Have been in a flare there since Nov and even PT hasn't helped much. Will also be having an MRI to make sure there isn't anything untoward going on. MaryLou - 14 Jan 2006 19:22 GMT >hi everyone, >i am a lurker,i posted here once a long time ago,i visit here [quoted text clipped - 8 lines] >thank you in advance >bettye I had an epidural done at C6-7 a little over a year ago. Although i've heard that some people get good results, i didn't have any relief from the pain. It felt quite a bit worse for awhile, actually, so they decided against trying another one.
I hope you will find some relief soon.
Gwen Love - 14 Jan 2006 22:14 GMT Bettye, my daughter (age 56) has had epidurals in her upper and middle spine (neck and back) previously and just had one on Thursday on vertebrae 7 & 8 in middle back (can't think what it's called right now-thoracic maybe!) She did get quite a bit of relief previously but as of last night had not gotten any this time. However, she kept 6 children by herself all day Friday (pre-schoolers) and I'm sure that didn't help her back at all. We are hoping that three days off now will do the trick. Newsgroup Spambuster - 15 Jan 2006 22:27 GMT Hi Bettye,
I have had 2-3 rounds of the epidural spine injections. 2 of the rounds I got quite a significant bit of relief from, and 1 of the rounds I got very little relief from. If I were you, I'd give it another try to see how you do! Best wishes to you and hope the injections work wonders for you!!!

d'huit - 25 Jan 2006 07:09 GMT hi bettye!
i had 2 series of 3 injections last year, L5-S1 and T5-6. wonderful relief lasted for about 4 to 5 months for me. i felt so good i did a bunch of stuff i probably shouldn't have, which might be why the benefits didn't last longer. i had one residual benefit that hasn't quite left me yet---my back spasms are not nearly as bad as they had been. so, i say, you go for it girl! good luck! and do let us know how it goes for you, please.

Gwen Love - 26 Jan 2006 21:21 GMT My daughter had an epidural two weeks ago in her center back, had one yesterday in her neck, and will have another in three weeks in her lower back. We're praying they will give her relief. Gwen hi bettye!

Bettye Russell - 27 Jan 2006 15:47 GMT HI EVERY ONE thank you so much for your response.i had the epidural done two weeks ago,i was with out pain for about a week, then on this pass monday,i had the procedure where they go in under xray and try to kill the nerves in the lower back with electrodes,it has a name i can't think of it right now, starts with a r.anyway it was a painful thing, the doctor told me i should get about 40 to 50%relief,i will take that.also said it would be six weeks before i get results as the nerves die out,and there will be more pain as the nerves die out ,if this works,so was wondering any one has had this one done,i lurk here all the time every day, love it here, everyone is so good and most of all understanding,no one knows how it is better than the people like us.didn't mean to write so much.but thanks bettye
