Rosie,

I followed your advice and raised my pillows since I don't have an
adjustable bed.  It has helped thanks for the suggestion I am now
catching up on my sleep..

I missed your original article and the replies, so here is my 8 cents
(inflation).

If piling up pillows works, you might want to look for a wedge pillow. They're
available in various heights in some housewares stores and in many medical
supply houses. If you use a wedge pillow AND put another pillow (wedge or
other) under your knees, it will work the same as an adjustable bed. If the
pillows slide, get some of that non-skid woven rubber matting for use in
drawers and under lamps, and cut it to fit the wedge. I used some heavy rubber
non-skid matting (sold in some hardware stores for use in tool boxes) under my
father's mattress in his hospital bed and it keeps the mattress in place.
