The dog is a delightful "high energy" nine week old Border Collie pup. She
didn't lie at my feet for long. She checked several times to see if she is
allowed in the trash can yet. I few to see if we are still being
unreasonable about her toilet locations in bad weather. Went out many times
just because its cool that we will open the door if she yips at it. No
questions asked.
Also insisted that we go out and play soccer in the mud. I'm not quite sure
of the rules but she does the low border collie sheep chasing run after them
if I'll kick them across the yard. And also tries to push the soccer balls
around and guard them.
As for cleaning up, you would not believe how much debris this pup brings
into the house. Thank God we put in tile and wood floors before we got her.
But it really was a lovely peaceful twenty minutes or so this morning. A
lot of people didn't get a lovely twenty minutes today.

Keep that thought Jo. Border Collies are such great dogs. A good
twenty minutes means the most at times and I would give anything for a
few wet or just foggy days around South Arkansas.
Have a Happy New Year.

I know exactly how you feel but then you will talk to someone that has
been there since you have and they say it is not the same. That,,,, was
enough for me not to go see my early childhood place. No one can change
your memories Kenny and on some days you can almost smell the place.
Happy New Year

What a wonderful breed of dog to have. Energetic but fun and smart.
We have had three and still have one. She is 8 this March so is
somewhat toned down but still is a busy dog. We have three Australian
Shepherd young ones that will be two in March and the border collie
thinks she has to keep them in line. They are coping well with all the
inactivity around here(arthritis and back pain and one with temporal
arteritis) and hopefully at some point this year the temporal arteritis
person will get back on their feet and can train and show these guys in
agility. Too much pain and problems this past year to go to any shows
at all. They are all good dogs though. We are from central New York
State so we don't go outside much at all this time of year.
I hope your health improves and you can enjoy that border collie puppy
for the new year.

yes, i certainly would believe it! the one (and only) thing i hate
about our new house is the wall to wall carpeting. HATE it. it's a nice
color and all but we already have a few stains i can't get out. and
jet, for some reason, has peed on it twice in the last week. new and
weird behavior.
it sounds like you're enjoying your darling kayla. have we seen any
pixes yet?
