Rofl!   I have never seen a shark rafting!   This summer when I raft in
Alaska we will see about the brown bears.  I just heard and we have a
permit for the Tat 12 days and a bush plane will have to pick us up.
We start in the Yukon and head south.  This will be an expedition!  --

Sounds great! Have you read any of the Sue Henry books? Great descriptions of
scenery in Alaska and northern BC.

What kind of dates did you get?  It sounds like an incredible once in a life
time kind of trip.

It is a once in a lifetime trip I have had the Tatshenshini on my life
list for quite a while.  We take out August 3 and put in about
mid-July.  The permit is based on the take out date.  We start near
White Horse and Dalton then travel south into Glacier Bay National
Park our take out is Dry Bay. Yep they have big brown bear Griz!    I
am so excited, we just heard from the Park Service about the permit.
Here is a slide show and map of the trip:

a GRIZZZZly.   Come on Mary,,,,,,, petting Orcas is one thing but old Griz
will hunt you if it takes a mind or likes the way you smell.    And
then,,,,,,, you could run into Cush,,,,  I think you should carry a 357.
LOLOLOL  I am tellen ya,,, Mary is not afraid of nothing.  LOL
