Thought I'd share this interesting and very funny letter I received the
other
day from that RD that I saw.. The one who didn't know his arse from a hole
in the ground.

Well, it seems that (what he said in his letter) that after I left the
office, he
"consulted" with the other doctors in the office about my xrays/mri and
reports and gee, he _now_ feels theres reason that perhaps *I* might have
been right and that it is AS we're dealing with, since there _is_ definative
changes in the SI joint on the xray itself.  Gee, but the bonehead couldn't
see that while I was there? Guess he bought new glasses or someone smacked
him upside his head... Or might have been the fact that I'd called my GP
immedately
after walking out and told her what a bonehead he was.. He said he won't be
positive
about the AS until I have another mri of the SI joints -- then he goes on to
say, if the
mri shows the changes as well, that he'll start me on Remicade.

There also wasn't ONE "oh gee, I'm sorry" in that letter either.  Well I
still have
that appt at another RD on the 3rd, I'm going to go to that one and bring
that letter
with me..

I seriously laughed for 20mins... So sad, I feel sorry for his other
patients.. Thought
ya'll could use a good laugh with me.  At least he knows the error and I
feel better
knowing my GP and I were right all along.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday and prayers we'll all have a better
pain-free 2006!

I hope the new RD is a good one.  Reminds me of a recent incident I had
with a new RD.  His assistant who was a Resident told me when I talked
about the painful joints and my neck and back aches related to stenosis
and scoliosis, I am sorry but we are Rheumatoligist and we only concerns
are joints.  Dropped him quickly and now have a new RD, who is a gem,
thanks to my new Internist ( my other one left the Department) .

Don, My RD is the one who told me I had scoliosis, and gave me a new med for
pain.  I'm glad I didn't talk to the same guy who talked to you!
