Mike, you'd better frame this, because I'm writing as a form of apology ;-)
After thinking about it more, I realized my reactions were based more on
emotions than in logical and mutual discourse the last few days.  And, those
emotions which sprang to the forefront of my mind, lashed back at you.  So,
it being the season of peace and joy, please accept this as a gesture of
peace.  Nanny (ho, ho, ho)!

I kinda knew this, as I also know you are a good and
honourable person, which is why *I* in turn was so
reactively defensive, and yes, emotionally charged about the
whole thing. (Idiots are easy, you can just plonk them, but
people who's opinions matter, thats another thing.)

You remind me of an old and dear friend who was one of the
most genuine people I've ever met. Always willing to go the
extra mile for friends, and a constant source of support and
good will. One of those people who just make the planet a
better place to be. We "bumped heads" many times due to
differences between how we saw and reacted to the world, but
never lost sight of the respect we had for each other.

Please also accept my apologies for the clumsiness of some
of my reactions. There are ways of putting a point across,
and it would seem that I still have the knack of "pushing
buttons" when a tad more tact might have been appropriate.

Hoping you have a remarkably wonderful festive season.

I, of course, will simply be enjoying the odd humbug. ;)

All the best!

Thank you, Mike.  In spite of our differences, we have proven to each other
that there is a meeting place based on respect and kindness.  It's a good
place to be!  Nanny

Wise words indeed.

I'm sure there's a sig-line in there somewhere. :)

I know.  I'll be the first to admit that Mike and I have totally different
outlooks on politics, but we've both been on AMF for so long, I felt later
that I really didn't want to "write him off entirely" ;-)  I'm a person who
is generally easy to get along with.....to a point.  There is *one* button
that I reserve for that final straw LOL!  Anyhow, I know our nerves and pain
are more acute during the holidays, so I felt I owed Mike an apology.  Nanny
