A rather short man set himself up as a store front fortune-teller, where
he fleeced several "clients" of large sums of money. When the police, in
response to the complaints, went to arrest him, he slipped out the back
door and managed to avoid capture.

The police issued an alert to all officers warning them to be on the
look-out for a "small medium at large".
