The biopsy on the spot on my nostril came back and was positive for
squamous cell skin cancer. The derm feels that what he did was
sufficient and as long as it heals properly that there is nothing else
to be done. I'm still a little freaked out about the cancer work. I
definately think I need to make sure that I get caught up on all my
screenings that I am so apt to put off so I'll be scheduling all those
this week although I'm sure it will be the first of the year until I
can get any of them done. I'm still a bit nervous that this could have
started somewhere else and ended up metastasize to the spot on my
nostril. Probably just being paranoid but this is the only thing I've
ever really felt freaky about. Anyway....just thought I'd let you know.

I'm sure its nothing, it is the most treatable cancer there is. etc etc
etc
But once questionable pap smear and I haven't been late getting them since.
So sending good wishes that its just a little take better care of yourself
wake up call.

I know just how you feel! I went through a cancer scare last year!
Had surgery, went to oncologist, etc. I was precancerous so close to
cancer that it was scary!
Love and prayers,

Had colon cancer 2 years in a row. Dr removed the polyps and that was that.
I go every May now for an endoscopy/colonoscopy. I see this Dr every 6
months now, sooner if my left side acts up. Also have had Barrett's Disease
for the last 8 'known' years. So I get checked thoroughly every year. At
least I like this Dr, not like the first one I had where I couldn't
understand him and he just 'dismissed' the cancer as 'oh well'.
My Dad died of colon cancer---Dr kept telling him it was the flu : (

Glad he worked on it when he did. And surely hope he's correct that
nothing
else needs to be done. Prayers on the way.
