I know this doesn't have anything to do with arthritis, but there are so
many of us on here who have been affected by Alzheimers Disease, that I
thought this would be of interest. And many more of us may be affected by
it in the future, unfortunately!

I know from my hearing loss, that music is stored differently in the brain
than other information. It is similar to the way we recall scent and the
memories associated with it so strongly.
We watched the Johnny Cash special last week, and I couldn't really hear the
performers music. But in my mind I could hear Johnny and June singing just
as they used to. Every bit of tone and accent and emotion like there were
still here.
If I relax and try I can still "hear" a lot of music as clearly as I did
when I was younger.

oh thanks Gwen for posting this. I am going to read it as soon as I can.
With my cousin just passing away from it last month and just found out
yesterday one of my dear friends on AMF has it too, I can use the info.
