I know what you mean! I feel every little joint in the pavement (campus
is mostly brick paved) right in my spinal fractures with the shoprider I
have to tide me over until grant money comes for a wheelchair (though it
looks like I won't be getting any assistance until I'm completely bed
ridden with fractures). Solid tyres and no seat cushioning to speak of.

I had a choice between a 3 wheeler with a new model seat and a second
hand (but unused) 4 wheeler with the old seat. I made the right choice
in going with the 4 wheeler despite the poorer seat as I anticipated
problems with tipping as I try to be as mobile as possible, even though
most environments here are decidedly disabled unfriendly.

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

Another thing is uneven sidewalks and slanted walks.....i use my balance
(body weight) to slowly navagate--shifting body OPPOSITE of the slanted
area to keep from tipping
Shift body RIGHT-- if slant is on the left
You have to have the confidence to try it. I have done it quite a
bit--know what i'm doin'
