Well my Mom has stabilized. They did not put in a pacemaker but
instead thought that it was a drug reaction to the high dose of anti
hypertensive medication that she takes.
Her BP was recently running high and her doc has been changing meds.
Whatever drug he chose really put her BP down low if it was 80/40
while lying in the hospital, the ER doc thought that it must have been
much lower when she stood, and her pulse was so weak. He said he was
surprised that she could walk.
Really had we not been there I am not sure what could have happened,
She has had meds to help increase the BP, it would not have done so on
its own.
They will keep her in the Kamloops hospital until she is a bit more
stable. but every thing looks like it will be good.
Iris, my eldest sister will be making one last trip to her doc
tomorrow and then on Monday seeing her surgeon. She is in a little
denial about the gravity of having the infection. ,ethinks. She is
afraid that if she sees the surgeon he will operate, but she is not
thinking that that may ultimately be what needs to happen.
Realistically there is a high risk that the prolonged infection can
cause loss of the limb if not worse.

I'm glad that your Mom is doing better, Rose.
I hope that everything turns out ok with your sister as well.
