It's official...I'm back!:)
New motherboard, processor and power source. Firefox is loaded and I am a
happy camper. It's so good to be able to read you properly again.
We are doing well, Rachel is doing a mite better and we are expecting more
testing next month. I see the RD tomorrow and will complain about the neck
and back pain some more. We'll see what happens next.
Hugs,
Kelly C.

Good that you didn't have one of those proprietary models! I had one
from HP and only HP could supply it with no potential to upgrade the
mother board because nothing else would fit!!!!! Never again
proprietary motherboards. My motherboard was eating ram for
breakfast 3 cards in 1 week!
This weekend I put a new video card in mine.
Hope you stay up and happy!

My computer is a cobbled-together mass of components...a total mutt. I love
it. The last proprietary computer was the first one we ever bought. A Compaq
and it sucked! Brett built the ones we have now, and I love being able to
take out any one component and replace it or upgrade it as needed.
We buy a lot of our stuff at Fry's. The prices are great and they are really
good about their return/exchange policy. What took so long was that we
waited until we were going to be in Portland for Rach's neuro. visit. We
stopped in at Fry's on the way home. Then it was all about trying to save
files before reformatting, etc.
Anyway, thanks for the welcome back. I'm glad to be here.

Me too.
I have been pulling computers apart and putting them together, or just
putting them together, since the days of the Apple II. - But I only do
it as a hobby. What really gets me now is the bending over them, so I
try to sit down for most of the time. Mine is also a mutt/mongrel

Peter, I solve the problem of bending over the computer by having hubby do
it.:) We have a clear division of labor...he's hardware, I'm software.

Your RD must be on call for most of the RDs in Eugene, good to know
there is one sticking around this week while the rest are in San
Diego.

Well, when I say 'see the RD', I mean I have an appt. at his office. Whether
I see him or the ANP is a crapshoot. She's good and easy to talk with, so no
loss if I don't see him.:)

Glad you posted their schedule. I need to get back in to see my RD, She
wants to start me on Arava and I've been avoiding her. They seem more open
minded after a conference.
