that its to hard on the body..duh I would think the pain is worse on
the body..anyhow can anyone tell me if another treatment would have
been feasible..The GP is trying to get a rhumy to see me..still no luck

I've just dropped to 2.5mg/day from 5mg/day. My body still hasn't kicked
it's natural corticosteroid production back in yet. I suspect you're
experiencing similar things. What are you on to control the rheumatoid
arthritis? You *should* be on a DMARD, like enbrel or methotrexate. If
not, why are you coming off the prednisone? What treatment(s) are you
receiving for the scleritis?

Cheers,

Ari

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:

for the scleritis GP just prescribed Voltaren eyedrops...so far no ther
meds for arthritis because there is no rheumy available...GP prescribed
25mg prednisone tapering to 5mg because of severe swelling of left hand
and a nodule appearing on right wrist.besides all the other problems
with joints .am not very happy with the GP but in Quebec you take what
you can. GP just doesn't want me to up prednisone but will taper me
down to 2.5 sometimes in december..

A GP can rx any drugs you may need.... what about Plaquenil?  It is one of
the most mild dmards yet helps many
Who diagnosed you with RA?  Should've been a rheumatologists... why no
prescription given then?
