The purchase and sale is scheduled for Nov. 10th. They
have found mold which needs to be addressed so I am
holding my breath. If we can get rid of that and the
purchase and sale goes through and the closing date
doesn't slip, we will close Nov. 30.
Wonder how Jen feels about her parents moving in with
them. We don't have a place to go but come Nov. 30 but
we are going.

crossing everything!

not black mold, I hope?  have friends in southern Michigan who were in a
rectory (church owned housing for the priest) - already knew the walls were
cracking, basement crumbling and heat/ac system was screwed up, but when they
found black mold last year, they cleared out.  nasty stuff.

Heck, as much as you've come down on the price, it should still go through.
May it all work out right for you.

Two mold guys were here today. Both said what we had
was nothing meaning they see much worse on a daily
basis. Hope the buyers will accept these guys as the
cleaning agents as I was unimpressed with the company
they choose to do the mold check ini the first place.
Of course that company did not do fixes only finding.
Wonder what good that makes them...
One guy we will probably use said he could start next
week. yippee

I know what you are going through, Duckie. When my Mom and I sold our
house, we went through it with termite inspectors. One guy wanted to
drill holes in the floor of our lower level, which was a recreation
room, extra bedroom, laundry/bathroom and 2 car garage! We would have
had to replace all the flooring!! Our lawyer thankfully gave us the name
of a guy who did a super job and only had to drill a few holes in the
garage where they couldn't been seen.

Good luck!

Well NOW the results of the radon test came back and
guess what -- not good. That man has been called.
Wonder how much that will cost.  sigh

The first thing you should do is retest. They always say to never accept
just one.

Ah, that's good.  We have mold in the basement of one of our churches here
and we really need to see if we can get it cleaned out ourselves somehow.  We
could really put the space to better use if it weren't so moldy.

Duckie,

I read your other post also about the Radon. I sure hope you get tested,
that is nasty stuff from what I read in an article the other day in our
newspaper. I wish I would have kept it so I could remember exactly what was
said.

Yes, I believe you should have lung tests done to see if the mold is what is
causing your problems. I wish Debbie H was well enough to talk to you about
this. She has had problems that they just found out could be from mold. She
ended up with double pnemonia this last time because of it or so I was told.
