Saw a new RD first one since being in MO. HE says I definitely have
FMS and probably some type of Arthritis. We will see what he says in
two weeks. He took xrays of my handsand blood tests. The pain in my
joints does not feel like when I hd Ra. I have heard to RA returns it
is worse than it was the first time. Rumor, I hope
My main doc is reducing the oxycontin becuse the Lyrica seems to be
helping with the muscle pain. Now m y ego kicks it took twoo years
after RA remission for me to reach my normal weight not I read the
Lyrica may cause weight gain. Hopefully the pain will get to the point
I can exercise.
Thanks again for listening.

Dawn, hope you get good news in two weeks, and less pain right away. Don't
worry about the weight; just get to feeling good!

Dawn, I am glad that you are having some results with the Lyrica...I am
anxious to see if my Rheumy will be trying it... It would be great to get
off of my Narcotics...
I don't think any of us like taking them...But the quality of our life
depends on them...
I also have FM and OA and psuedogout....
Great combination ;)
Hopefully you will feel like getting more excercise...I find that my OA gets
in the way of excercise...My knees...Argh they are worse...and now my hands
really want to get in the act....Oh yes Migraines...I wonder if the Lyrica
will help with those...It would be nice if we had a one pill fixes it
option...LOL...
I sure am long winded today...
Hugs Cindy

You can be as long winded as you want to be. There was a time when
things were much worse for me.

Dawn,
I hope that your RD gets to the bottom of your troubles.
I hope that your RA doesn't come back-I've rarely talked to anyone that
has ever had it actually go into remission.
Please let us know how you make out,
Charlene

Must admit one of the meds they gave me this week was lyrica. I think that
is what is reducing the pain (as well as the clomazepan. It is incredible.
As for weight gain can't say I have eaten anymore than before. Not craving
anything at all unlike when I was on the evil amytriptline or nortryptiline.
Good luck dawn. I wish this was easier to diagnose and to predict. That is
just the joy of the RA I guess. (Joy being a very lose term.
