Well saw the neurologist today and it looks good. He sees on the mri (which
the radiologist and the first neurologist did not) some inflammation of part
of the spine. He said this would cause these symptoms and they will
eventually go away - probably in 2 - 4 week or maybe more. He sees no
permanent damage and isn't sure that it is the enbrel (although we will
leave that decision up to the rd tomorrow - at least no obvious
demylination showing). So that is good. He was puzzled by a few of the
symptoms but seems positive. Gave me 2 meds one which was lyrica for the
pain and tingling. Will see Atkins tomorrow and hopefully will see what the
neurologist writes in his report.
I am exhausted - will try to write more tomorrow. Going to eat and go to
bed. Yesterday was lots of trouble with the catheter again - has stirred up
the interstitial cystitis in a wild way as hasn't happened for years. Need
to find a way to calm that down and stop the spasming.
Thanks all.

Good to hear it Kelly. I hope that the RD also has good things to say,
and that you are out of this soon.

That sounds like a positive report, over all. I'm sorry about the IC, but
really hoping the Lyrica helps. That drug has also been approved for use in
people with partial epilepsy and may be one that we use on Rachel some day.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and be watching for the post that
says you're running out the door to do some errand or another.:)
Hugs,
Kelly C.

Good news from the neurologist, certainly! I hope the same will be true with
your RD visit.
Are they medicating you for the bladder spasms? I know there is some med for
it, but can't recall the name right now. It's used a lot in hospitals for
patients with bladder spasms from Foleys. You might ask about it if they
don't have you on something.
