Hi , I am a 36 year old male who was diagnosed with perthes disease
wneh I was around 9 years old, since then there has always been a
certain amount of pain which sometimes is quite strong, although after
nearly 30 years of it, I'm kind of used to it.
However, over the last few weeks it has been very painful for unusually
long periods. What I was wondering as I don't like to waste the docs'
time, if somebody could tell me if perthes disease can return in later
life or if it just me getting a bit soft?
Any (educated) advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dominic.

It could be that you have developed OA, and that will certainly give you
pain. See a rheumatologist.
