Dear Freinds,

I have my ankle surgery yesterday.  I've been fighting a bad foot and
ankle since August.  While all of the tests came up negative, my
podiatrist (along with my rheumy) decided to go ahead and operate.
Tarsal Tunnel was the diagnosis.  When my doctor opened the ankle, he
immediately saw the problem  I had a bump on my tendon (due to an old
injury) which had to be removed.  So now I'm bedfast for one week!  and
then on crutches for three!

My son came home last weekend for the first time from college.  His
walk was more confident.  His smile was bright.  And I found him to
have matured and an intelligent conversationalist.  This is a real neat
time to have kids!  Can't wait until Thanksgiving.

Thanks for all your help and encouragement, (and something else when I
need it)<g>

Vickie,

you take care and know we are thinking of you. I hope the ankle heals
wonderfully and that you have no more problems with it.

Glad you son was home to visit.

Hugs, TLC, and thinking of you.

Love and hugs to all
Good thoughts coming your way too.

All good news Vickie and good to read.   Your son is turning into a man and
reading how perceptive you are about it is good to read also.    Rest,,,
heal,,,, and give it time without to much use and it all will be worthwhile.

Vickie,

May healing start for you now and pain free days ahead.  It is good to
hear about your son.  it is so neat when we see them turn the corner
into adulthood.

Good news like this is encouraging!  You have the surgery behind you, should
get waited on for awhile, and your son coming for Thanksgiving.  Can't get
much better :-)  Nanny

Vickie, sorry you're out of commission for a while, but do take care of
yourself and let everything heal correctly.
You'll be in my prayers.

Vickie, Glad that they found the problem and hopefully it is fixed...Sorry
that you have to stay in bed though...
Also, it is nice when our teenagers start to become adults...You can finally
start to breath again after How many years? LOL...Just don't let your guard
down too quickly..LOL...
