Could you pray for Drew my son. He is having financial problems with no
medical insurance.

He had a contact lens slip in his eye. It has scratched his eye, it is still
in there somewhere. He can't get it out.

He finally borrowed money to go into Drs and they say it is all in his head.
But Stacy his girlfriend sees it in there too. So they did nothing for him.

He has been having stomach problems too and couldn't get his meds for it for
over a week.

Things are just not going well for him right now.

I am worried about his sight now because of all this happening with his eye.

If he has to go to specialist, it will cost big bucks.

We have no way of helping them out.

I am still not doing good either. Keep sweating, big time, and don't know
why. So this is dehydrating me more.

I wish I could see my boys. They have been so busy and can't get down here.
I haven't been well enough to go up their way.

Thank you so much for any prayers, good thoughts, etc for Drew.

I had a lens once that did that. It folded itself up and went high up
behind the upper lid. I think it took a couple of days for it to come
out.

Eye tissue regenerates quickly so although it is uncomfortable now,
it should not take too long until it feels better.

Rose and all others, thank you so much from me and my family.

Rose,
I talked to Drew today. He is still having problems. I passed on the
suggestions you made and he said thank you so much. He also thanks all for
their prayers, I do too.

He said he will try to get some antiboitic eye drops when he can. The dr
that saw him was going to give him some but they were erthemycin (sp) and he
is allergic to them. She would not give him another kind. So he will see
what he can do about it. He appreciates all my fmilys support.

Thank you so much. I might have some good news by Monday for Jim and I also.
We will tell you about it on Monday if all goes well.

Jim has worked the last three days. It was from 6 - 10 am and he got paid
for 7 hrs. It is thru a temp agent. But every little bit helps.

I am not sure what the heck is going with my health. It is weird. But then
again I am too. ;-)

Have not been doing good for over three weeks now. It seemed to start out as
the stomach flu thing going around.  Then I think my Hashimotos got into the
pic. and also my adrenal insuffenciency. So am still trying to fight to stay
hydrated from all this sweating the last couple of days. We shall see what
happens.

I'm glad that helped. I think it is better to leavea the eye alone and
(if possible) and let the lens come out on its own.

try not to worry.

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner but I will add Drew to my prayers
and you as well.  About the sweating ...are you diabetic?  I have
what's called "steroid induced diabetes" and when my sugar gets high I
sweat in buckets!  Its awful!  I often get this in the morning if I eat
too high of a carb breakfast or snack on fruit or anything else with
high sugar content before lunch. I will also sweat like crazy if I don'
t eat lunch on time. If I skip lunch my sugar will go up really high
(which I find odd but the doctor doesn't)  So if you aren't diabetic,
and you are not in the habit of testing your sugar level, Try eating a
high protien breakfast followed by a low carb lunch about 4 hours later
and see it that helps the sweating. It was immediate for me.  If that
works you would want to let your doctor know asap as it can be
dangerous to be diabetic and not know it.  Hope you are not.....DianeW
Squirrely - 17 Oct 2005 21:13 GMT
DianeW,

I was thinking the same thing. I am pre-diabetic. But kept checking blood
levels and it wasn't that bad to consitute the sweating. Now it will be
since pred takes my BS up. Found out the sweating was fever. I have two
thermometers, an ear one and an oral one and neither was showing the temp
being up that high. I usually get up with a 96.1 or around that. It was
going up to 97.9. But it didn't show 99.2 like they got yesterday. One day
it did show that, but it was while I was having the stomache flu back door
trots and vomitting. Then it went back down again.

So that shows how dumb I can get. I didn't think it was the fever. I thought
the BS or Hashimotos and pre-menopause. But my feet hands and chest and back
were cold when I was sweating like mad. So couldn't figure it out.

Squirrley,
You definitely will be in my prayers and will add you to the weekly group
that I meet with if you don't mind for both you and your son.
You mentioned sweating, are you on Methotrexate?  I am and it has caused me
to sweat alot, they thought it was first menopause, but each time I
increased the mtx, so didn't the sweating, maybe that could be an answer,
mine has finally tapered off since I have added the enbrel, pain no
different but sweating not as bad.
I sure hope that you will feel better soon, I know that is no fun, prayer is
a mighty tool, and there are many praying for both you and your son.
Hang in there,
Becky

Becky,

Thank you, that would be great about being added the weekly prayer group. I
always say prayer is the answer.

No MTX, I have osteo. I found out it was a fever that I didn't know I had.
My thermometers were showing it. Don't know  why but it didn't.
