I was at the vet, discussing my cat's meds when I realized that my cat and I
have the same perscription - same medicine!  I didn't realize it before
because I get generic pills and he gets brand name drops.  Very different
doses obviously but I've been feeling creepy ever since Lol!

<grin>  He seems to be feeling better then me too.  My new thumb pain is a
real pain in the, um, hand.  My writing hand too.  grumble.

Do you arch your back and hiss at people, or look away as a sign that
you care?

I felt like that at first too.

My adored dog passed away at the end of last year and she had an auto immune
arthritis problem for many years before she died.  About 2 months after she
died I was diagnosed with RA and have been on the same NSAID and prednisone
she was on.  My dr was most impressed at my knowledge of auto immune
arthritic diseases when I was first diganosed and found it amusing when I
told him it was becauase Ide read up over the years on the doggie versions.

Hi Kim,,,  Was that a Rheumatologist that said you have RA?     NSAIDs do
not completely control RA.  Prednisone can control something's about RA with
a price to be paid.    Do you also take a DMARD like Methx, Arava, or
others?

None of the NSAID's worked for me and I was on Plaquenil but that didnt work
either, Prednisone was all that worked to control the pain and Im pregnant
now so once Ive had the baby we will be starting down the methotrexate track
but while Im pregnant I dont have any choice but prednisone Im afraid.  Yep
it is a rheumatologist, he started me ont he plaquneil while my husbnad and
idecided if we wanted babies or not as he said onec methotrexate started you
shouldnt get pregnant o it and it takes a while to get out of your system if
you do decide you want to try and then sometimes doesnt work as well the
second time around.

Im looking forward to eventually going on it and hopefully getting off this
prednisone Im on as I worry about its long term side effects.

Hi Kim,,,,  You have probably told us all that before and I am sorry that I
missed it the first time.  May God bless you with remission and a wonderful
baby and we will worry about the other stuff down the road.
