Maddy the Gimp Pig Dog

Madeline, my part pitbull, part rot, part sharpai, part pot bellied pig
gimp dog, passed away last night in her sleep. No warning of any
problems at all. Danielle and I took her for a walk after school, she
ate her dinner, the rest of the cats' dinners, chased the cats and
jumped up on the couch all ready for bed. At about 10:30 she made a
strange sound in her sleep and just stopped breathing. I guess that's
the best way to go, in your sleep after a fun day with a full belly.

I bought a cement pig to put on her grave (those of you that have seen
Maddy at Gimp Picnics know why I got a pig instead of a dog). Dunno who
is gonna gimp around with me all day now. She was always right beside
me limping just like I do. Damn I'm gonna miss her.

KJ, im sorry about madeline. i know she was very special. The way she
went though is definitely the best way to go. She died happy and
content and your memory of her is just that.

Condolences to you and yours. I've asked Iffy and Brando (our dog, not
the actor) to meet and greet Madeline at the Rainbow Bridge, so she'll have
doggie friends there while she waits for you.

Sorry to hear that, KJ. I know what it's like as I used to have a dog.
He was like my child.

BIG HUGS for you,
Carole

awww, damn.   ((((((((((((((((((kj)))))))))))))))))))  she was such a cool
dog.  it's so hard to lose those little furry loves.  they really do become
members of the family, as well as furfaced friends who comfort us in our low
moments.  i"m sorry you're going to miss maddy, kj.  there's one thing i do
know, and that's that you gave a little piece of heaven on earth, because
you loved her and she knew that.  the pig is a perfect choice, kj.  and if
her dear little spirit tarried, just a little while, i bet it put a sweet
little doggie grin on her face.

love and hugs, sweetness,
kate

My sympathies are with you and your family.  Like the others said,
that is the ideal way to go.  I never saw her, but I like the idea of
a pig being so appropriate, according to those who have seen her.  She
certainly sounded like a Heinz 57 type of dog.  They make the best
kind.

This is part of another poem I wrote, but it seemed so fitting.

God bless and keep you
In His heart and hands.
You showed us love was true
And lasts when all else ends.

I know how much you are going to miss her.  A true companion dog like that
can truly be once in a lifetime.

I'm sure there will still be times you can feel her right beside you still.

So sorry KJ. It was last fall that my poor Milo passed away and I
still miss him.  My sincerest condolences in the loss of your Maddy.

I'm so sorry for you and the family, but so happy that she went in  her
sleep after a wonderful day with those who loved her.
We could only ask for the same for ourselves.  May her memories stay
with you forever and make you smile.

Well said! I'm so sorry, KJ. Hugs to you and the whole family.

Maddy had a great life and a wonderful last day. May her love fill you
forever.

[Hope my cats, Spookie and Tyler have met Maddy at the Rainbow Bridge. They
always loved playing with our dogs.]

Im so sorry to hear about Madeline.  Losing my dog was one of the hardest
losses I ever had to go through.

My thoughts are with you and it is definately nice to know she didnt suffer
at all in the way she passed away.

Im sure my Daisy is making her welcome wherever doggie heaven is.

((((((((((((KJ)))))))))))))  Maddy was special.  I think you're right though,
she went the way most of us would want to.  You were as good a gimp companion
to her as she was to you.
