I was reading the Columbia, Mo. newspaper today because our old
neighbors have a son playing football there and found this story. I
think it illustrates that young people today who discover the have RA
have a brighter future to look forward to because of the drugs which
have been introduced in the last few years.
Perhaps there are some newbie lurkers out there who will realize the
future is brighter for them.

i think it's more than a "sort of", cooly.  the human spirit is sometimes
just like water in the way it flows.  and thank goodness for the new
treatments and new drugs that help in allowing it to flow against adversity
and despite challenges that might have once been insurmountable.

Good story and it is great that the drugs are so much better these
days.   Remission with Remicade is great my life has changed for the
better.  Too many newbies are so worried about side effects they
forget what the disease will do.   -- mz

That's a great point to make Mary, fear the disease not the drugs. I'm
glad you liked the story.
