Shoot I thought things were going well...I usually have Hypoglecimia
3.4 - 5.4
Well this is the second night that after my 5 pm dose ( 5mg) my blood
sugar goes up to 12.4  should I be worried???
Any one experience this spike in their blood sugar??

Wait a minute...are you the one who just started prednisone?

If so, your doctor *should* have warned you that prednisone can affect
blood sugar, in two ways. First, it can increase your baseline. Second,
any particular amount of carbohydrate will have a greater effect on your
blood sugar than you expect.

This is one aspect of what folks mean about prednisone being the drug
they love to hate (or hate to love?).
