Any first-hand experience with Sulindac (Clinorol)?
I just started a few days ago and it's giving me stomach cramping and i feel
really drowsy. Seems to take the edge off pain but not sure it's worth the
side-effects yet. They're not horrible, but i'm not sure. Have tried quite
a few NSAIDs and haven't been able to tolerate any on a regular basis
gastro-wise, as i have IBS and get bleeding if i get even slightly
constipated. I have tinnitus and it seems worse too.
Thanks for sharing any experiences on this.

I've been on it for about a month without problems but it really
doesn't cover the pain either!
Take care,
Vickie B.

Mary Lou, I took clinoril years ago and had no side effects. However, that
was before I had an ulcer and tinnitus. Would probably be different now.

Clinoril or sulindac, yes, I've been on that.
It didn't really cut it for me pain-wise either.
Then again, most NSAIDS haven't done much for me, either that, or they
work for a month or two, then wham! Nothing.
I hope that your stomach quiets down and that the sulindac kicks into
high gear for you,
Charlene

took clinoril 19 years ago, briefly. didn't help any, but no side effects
for me. Taht said, everyone's different. I just went through 3 NSAIDs in a
row that had unacceptable side effects for me before we found one that I can
take (this all since they took Bextra away from me). You must feel like
you're on the NSAID merry-go-round, but I'd say call your doc and see if
there's anything else left that you can try.

I took clinoril for about 4 yrs and it worked really well for me initially,
then relief dwindled, like most nsaids. The problem with nsaids is that
everyone reacts differently to them. You just don't know how one partic. one
will affect you until you try it - trial and error approach unfortunately.
I went through about 5-6 nsaids before I found clinoril. I did end up
getting an ulcer with it though.

Alison, I think Clinoril is what gave me my ulcer also.

I've given up on it, at least as a daily medication. My stomach can't seem to
tolerate it and it was making me feel kind of agitated (i also use
Wellbutrin) and my tinnitus got too loud at night. If it can be beneficial
for occasional use on a bad day, that would probably be fine.

*IF* this is the same drug that I was first started on (~7 years ago) it
was okay, but REALLY messed up my stomach and made my reflux unbearable
(and dangerous). The drug name sounds VERY familiar, and I think it was
the one that I was on before Celebrex.

I'm going to die rather sooner than I'd like. I tried to protect my
neighbours from crime, and became the victim of it. Complications in
hospital following this resulted in a serious illness. I now need a bone
marrow transplant. Many people around the world are waiting for a marrow
transplant, too. Please volunteer to be a marrow donor:
