Hey everyone! Remember me? I was just getting started on MTX when last
I posted, and it helped immensely. I also thought I was being singled
out at work by my boss.

Well, big news. I got fired. I met with a lawyer today and we wrote up
a complaint to send to the Maine Human Rights Commission. In a state
such as this, with few laws to protect employees, it normally would be
difficult to prove discrimination. My boss, however, made a lot of
careless comments in front of other people that may give me a strong
case.

I moved into my house. It's a big, 5 bedroom home with a pool (aaaah),
and 3 acres of land, just far enough away from civilization to be safe.

My fiancee and I are trying to have a baby, so I've been off MTX since
April. It was amazing how quickly symptoms returned, though thankfully
nothing crippling as of yet.

All in all, things are going well. Thank you people for being there,
without knowing what other people experience, I may not have felt
justified in my concerns over my own health.

Wow that is my next step I too will be filing a complaint. My boss fired me
three weeks ago and my lawyer said I had a case but it had to be filed first
with the human rights commission.

That's what I had to do also. He did say that if a few people were
willing to give their statements, he may talk directly with the company
without waiting for the HRC. I have at least 3 people who will give
their statements, as they were made to everyone. I'm running into
people at the grocery store who tell me things the boss had said.

I just got a better job, too. It took me a while to find one, but I'll
be making a lot more money, they know and are okay with the arthritis,
and the bennies are awesome.

Good for you Ben,,,,   The old saying applies,,,, where there is a will,,
there is a way.    Good luck with the new job and take care of it.

Congratulations!  Sounds like it has all worked out well for you.  It's also
great that you are still working to rectify your previous situation.  That
boss needs to learn some things about acceptable behavior.

Awesome bennies are wonderful, indeed.  How well I know having recently
re-entered the world of GOOD health insurance!

yes, I do remember you!  That sucks that you did indeed get fired, though
working for a bozo of a boss had to be stressful.  Best of luck with your
lawsuit.  I hope you can find enough people who are willing to testify to the
comments the bozo made to win your case.

Your house sounds delightful!  So, how well do you have to know folks before
they can drop in for a visit?  <just teasing, mostly!>

Have my fingers crossed that your fiancee is soon pregnant so you all can
soon enjoy your child AND so you can get back on the mtx!  At least as the
male in the picture, you can start taking again as soon as she's pregnant
rather than waiting for the birth of the child and the end of any
breastfeeding period.  Taht way you should be feeling better before you have
to deal with all the baby stuff!

Keep us posted on how things are going with you.

Remember all that discussion about Enbrel and the
molecule not passing through the breast milk. Wonder if
the molecule would have the same non passing effect on
the male.
