Has anyone tried tai chi, for pain relief and if so how did you like it.

My wife loves it. She has a knee situation now and the deep bending
movements, slow as they are, bring on significant pain to her.

I am looking to breathing part of Tai Chi with less of the hand and
step movements for myself, Qigong... I believe Tai Chi evolved from
Qigong.

Good luck.

Tai Chi is wonderful for balance, coordination, muscle strengthening and
peace of mind.  I have been a player for about 10 years.  Try it, you
will like it.  No need to do the deep knee positions, work at your
comfort level.
