I'm with you!   I usually take a zip up sweatshirt style jacket and
instead of putting those flimsy gowns on, I put the zip up sweatshirt on
instead.   Much more comfortable and doesn't leave anything hanging out
for all to see.   Since you have to take the gown off anyways for the
mammo, I just take the zip up sweat shirt off.   For x-rays, I usually
take my bra off and then just put  my top back on---the x-ray techs
usually have no problem taking the x-rays through the top provided it
doesn't have any snaps, zippers, or any other metal on it.   Much more
comfortable for me to do mammo's and x-rays this way!
