I wanted to check in and say hi. I know several of you guys and gals had
houses for sale or were waiting for closing. How did that go? Have you
settled in to a new place? Harv I haven't heard from you in awhile how are
you? Firechief what happened? My inbox has been quiet for awhile.
Cindy.....and little bit my local girls... where have you been? There are
so many of you that I read your posts and was keeping up with you and now I
have a major brain fog and can not remember what was going on. I am curious
to know how everyone is doing.
I have been doing pretty good the weather has helpedmy inflammation and
that's good. I am just rolling along this summer. We have had a couple of
tragic deaths in our family this summer. I still deal with that allot. I am
off remicade again because of a mitral valve problem. My blood pressure is
under control for the first time in two years..that's good news. I need to
reschedule my rd appointment that I missed because the weather was so nice
and I felt good and did not want to go.. I know I need to go. Usually in
Sept I have a little flare up when the weather changes. I better get on top
of that.
Anyways I hope to hear from everyone, and I am sorry I have been so wrapped
up in me.
Love,
RhondaM

All through with the TB medicine and two weeks after it was stopped, I had
to go back on Enbrel. Doing fine, feeling fine.

I think Chief had a internet server problem and it looks like he took some
time off from the internet. Harv

Rhonda, Bob and DeeTee are STILL in a hotel. However, we're getting
closer to having a home. They are telling us about two more weeks. I
am so done with one room and a bath. I've been using my time to
explore the area where our house is located and realizing that this
place is perfect! It's close enough to a major city that shopping and
facilities are close by, yet far enough out that the local town is
small town America. Everyone is friendly and helpful and it's like
being back home where I grew up (in the South). We're still trying to
figure out what people are asking when they say, "Would you like a
pop?" (they mean soda) and Bob will probably never get used to hearing
"Hi, Hon!" when we walk into a restaurant. He's teased me for years
about calling other people - even strangers - hon, or sugar. Now it's
happening every day. LOL

DeeTee- You are close enough to where I grew up (Cincinnati) that you might
run across some folks who say "please" instead of "pardon" when they don't
understand what you mean. So you say something and I didn't quite get it and
I say "Please?" with a question type inflection in my voice. And you wonder
why in the world you should be saying please with whatever it was you just
said not to mention why a basic stranger would be rude enough to remind you
to say please. Can lead to some very funny if not awkward situations. So
.... if someone says "please" all by itself and totally out of context, just
repeat what you said back at them! Still have relatives in the area!

Rhonda, Just trying to stay cool here. It is so hot and I know everyone else
is too...
Mike was back in the hospital a few weeks ago. He had an abcess in his
abdomen(we hope it isn't the mesh becoming infected again) but he is doing
better now. Spent four days on IV antibiotics and another 10 days on oral
ones.
My Fibro has been kicking my butt these last few weeks.
And have had a headache from HECK!!!!! My PC doctor gave me some fioricet,
but that doesn't keep it away. I told him when I called that I wasn't
begging for pain pills, I have Lortab 10s...I get 120 a month...I need
headache pills....He said to let him know if this didn't help.
It is mainly on my rt side...same side as my dead brain tumor....
Mike finally got his SSDI and we got our back pay....YES...The utility
companies probably fainted when I got all caught up....No more living cut
off to cut off...
Mike bought us a Yamaha 1700 Midnight Silverado Motorcycle. We are going to
do some traveling...I hope my pain will let me enjoy it.
Still helping the kids with my gkids...
So not really doing much....
Rhonda...Go see the doctor...Don't let yourself get to be in a flare...Nip
it in the Bud...LOL
Hugs Cindy

hi rhonda,
we're in our house one week now. this house is an incredible 4200
square feet! john needed room for a studio and all his digital
equipment; i needed writing and book storage space, plus room for
guests. it's going to work out great because the main level has the
master bedroom, my office and lots of living space all on one floor
(for me). the downstairs is all john's domain. we've figured out the
intercom system so we can actually communicate with each other because
the levels are so removed from one another that we couldn't hear each
other shout. so, i love the house and the quiet neighborhood, but all
the packing and moving did a number on my foot and ankle and i am
walking poorly and up at night with a pain i haven't experienced since
before the "good drugs." the rest of the RA seems to be under control,
tho, so i know it's just the old damage in my ankle acting up. it's bad
tho. time to dust off the scooter for any forays into home depot and
other big stores.
i'm sorry to hear about the losses in your family, but glad you're
feeling fairly well. why did the mitral valve problem cause you to go
off remicade?
and dee tee, i'm excited for you that you love your new surroundings!
(not the hotel, but the town). i feel that way here, too. people are so
friendly and laid back, and our neighbors are nice. . . except for the
one who yelled at me yesterday for letting my dog poop on his lawn,
which he had not done and which i would have picked up with my baggie
anyway. :-(

I am not sure why but the RD wanted me to wait until I saw the
cadiologist..well I am still waiting to see the cardiologist. He is so
booked up. I could have gone to my old one but I decided to change because
that place was a mad house. I am sorry that guy yelled at you for the
poop... I would have told him he was a a-hole and then cleaned it up..:o)
but thats me.. I have a guy like that on my block to and everyone thinks he
is a a hole.. I am glad you are getting settled in and rest that foot and
ankle.
That intercom system seems pretty neat.
Take care,

Rhonda, Cindy, Diane,
You are all in my thoughts. Have read your posts.
Rhonda, I am sorry to hear about the deaths in family. I hope your bp stays
under control. I hope all goes well for you. I hope things work out for you
with the job situation. I hope something can be done about it.
Cindy, I hope your fibro settles down. I am with you there also about
staying cool or at least trying to. I hope Mike heals quickly. Glad Mike got
SSDI. I am sure that helps greatly.
Diane, glad the house is incredible. I sure hope it works out for you and
John. I hope the ankle settles down. Hope all goes well with the neighbor
being nasty, hope he becomes nice.
