Has anyone heard of or know of any information about polymyotis. I think it
is inflamation of the muscles.my friend has been dx with this. she has been
to 2 neurologist,an rd.   she cannot walk at all. her legs collapse and the
pain is so bad she can hardly stand it.
let me know if you have any information.

Myositis means generalized muscle inflammation. When it is throughout
the body the term polymyositis is used. Please see:

I've been on prednisone and methotrexate for limited scleroderma, and my
RD added Cellcept when polymyositis showed up. I'm a littlt stronger,
and have hardly any pain now. It's really alarming when you can't get up
off the toilet without help!

I will pass on your info to my friend. she is in so much pain and must have
help with all she does such as bathroom.
