Hello Joan
Sorry to have upset you, but I really am just trying to raise
awareness.
There is some research that shows that Propolis can help arthritis,
when applied as a tincture. I personally havent tried it, but the
people I know who do use it claim that it really works.

Many people claim that many things work.
Since being diagnosed with a nasty form of arthritis, I no longer pay
attention to any of this stuff.
Ever notice that every supermarket rag has a cure for arthritis? Why do
you think that is?
Now, if there is no science (monitored trials), I pay no attention
whatsoever.

There are problems with natural products I agree, but you cant do
monitored trials ie. on humans without being a liscenced medicine.
At the moment there is a large study being done in stratchclyde
University which is attempting to standardise a procedure to make
propolis into a medicine. The only trials that exist today, have taken
place in eastern European countries, Russia and China/Japan. But what
trials there have been have shown encouraging treatment in the areas of
eczema, arthritis and asthma. Im not saying that Propolis is going to
change your life forever but Im saying that it probably wont do you any
harm to look at the information available

But are you going to repay the time lost,, the loss of condition while
proving or disproving false claims but the above is better said than most of
the people who come here to make a dollar or two off the people here.

I kept bees for the first fifteen years I had RA. Had about 10 hives in
the end. Got lots of propolis on me. Loved the smell, but it never did
anything for the RA (or the IBS).
Bee stings have been shown to have at least an antiinflammatory effect
and to help RA, but getting yourself stung several times a day is a
rather risky business.
Better stay with the meds folks
