I am sorry to hear about your friends' loss. It is always sad to lose
a child, even if it is the ultimate price for  freedom.

Although it may be soon to think about it now, there is an
organization called "The Compassionate Friends" which is for bereaved
parents. It is a support group that meets monthly, or provides
individual support if needed. My sister and brother in law belong and
found comfort being among others who could understand the loss of a
child. Perhaps your friends would benefit from this group.

My prayers are with your friends and their beloved son.  May his soul
rest in eternal peace.

I said goodbye to my son's best friend who is a Marine and going to
Iraq in a few days.  May God protect them all.

I'm so sorry for him and his family. Such a great loss for all. My

I am going to spend this afternoon with his family. We went to the
house yesterday and put up over 100 flags, lining the driveway. Today
we are wrapping the tress in black ribbons, above the yellow ribbons
already there.

He is coming home tomorrow, escorted by fellow marines from our town.
The services will be next week.

Nothing will take away their hurt and pain but maybe, knowing that
their son's efforts in giving his all for his country is appreciated,
will help.  Tell them thanks for me.

Prayers on the way KJ!   This is so sad and far, far too many of our
young men have parished in this ugly fighting!
