Hi folks,

Well 3 weeks into taking 12.5 mg of MTX (5 each, 2.5mg) one time per
week.

Can't really say I am noticing much of a difference, so far. My index
finger joint and tendons are swollen as hell, hurt like bitch all of
the time... (so what else is new?). Well, I guess I can say I feel a
slight warm/burning sensation in my joints and I am a bit more tired. I
vistit the RD again on Aug 22. I will have had 4 doses by then and
ready for a 5th dose. I believe she plans to up the dose at that time
if my blood work comes back as satisfactory.

Would anyone care to share your thoughts, comments, experiences.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds pretty typical to me.  I wouldn't expect much response after only 3
doses, especially at that low a dose.  Be patient.

Are you managing the side affects OK?

Side effects are close to nill at this time Walt. I take folic acid. A
low dose of prednisone and try to remember to drink a lot of water.

It can take several weeks to kick in. Hang in there. It's a great drug for me. I
am on 20 mg. per week by injection.
