well, I finally got an NSAID to replace the relafen today - it's been a
comedy of errors with people having days off and us leaving town for a couple
of days and phone tag and all that joy.  At least it gave my tummy almost 2
full weeks to recover from the ravages of Relafen.  Now I'm on Mobic, with
the downside of it being a brandname rather than generic :(  Oh well, ya do
what ya gotta.

Took the first mobic about 4 hours ago.  Is it possible it is already
helping?  My thumbs definitely feel better, but it seems so soon for an NSAID
to kick in this much.  Maybe it's partly the front having finally come
througha fter a wild weather day.

Meanwhile, I've been uploading photos from various adventures this summer to
webshots.  http://community.webshots.com/user/hanbell  There are some nice
sunset shots in the camping trips album, as well as many wildflowers I
haven't learned the name of yet!  LOL

And Thursday morn, I'm leaving to drive down to my mom's in Florida (1300
miles).  In a week and a half my old gang from my high school band is having
a weekend of get-togethers.  We've been tracking each other down in various
ways since the beginning of the year and have about 35-40 of us who can make
it to the reunion! Some of us had lunch together when I was down there in
April - and sat there talking for almost 6 hours!  I think this will be just
as wonderful when more of us get together.

So, I'll be mostly incommunicado for a couple of weeks - and when I return
there'll be a busy couple of days dealing with the V-J celebration here in
town (BIG weekend here).  But I'll see you all again in mid-August!  Be well.

We are looking at a high of 101 today - heat index of 110, I think.
Quite hot - sure glad I don't have to get into a car that's been
sitting in the company parking lot in the sun all day!

Very good pictures.  It makes me a little bit homesick for Michigan.
I spent all but two of my growing up years in the Ann Arbor area.  We
spent many hours taking the ferry across the straits to visit
relatives in the Escanaba and Kiva area.   I think that unidentified
boat is an ore boat - will print out and ask my mom - she lived a
great deal of her life up there.  She says it is an ore boat, probably
carrying limestone.  The wildflowers I don't recognize, sorry, but a
good flower book could help you.  I just remembered a book I have
called THE BURGESS FLOWER BOOK FOR CHILDREN by Thornton W. Burgess.  I
will see if any of yours are in it and email you.  It has lots of
pictures in it.

Sounds like a lot of fun - see you later.
