If you need to find the weather (local or distant) before going out or
away, go to
http://www.noaa.gov/index.html
Scroll down and click on the "weather" icon. You can enter either the
city and state (don't abbreviate the city) or the zip code for a seven
day forecast.
The site has a lot of other good info, esp. about bad weather and weather
emergencies, precautions to take, what to beware of, etc.

I use the report for my zipcode as my home page for the Safari
browser. It's very convenient and the search box for other
areas appears at the top of that page.

Unfortunately in Kansas there is no reason to check the weather. It is
over a hundred every day and will never rain again.
