Sorry that I keep asking for prayers

If I am not asking too much, I would appreciate your prayers.

Had to go to country hospital today. Very sick.

Dr did not give me iv which I needed because the blood work for electrolytes
came back in the ok range. This is not an ok range for me so I didn't get
iv.

The other news is I have the start of an infection. He is going to recheck
my blood work for it on  Thurs. If the WBC's go higher, it looks like I will
be put into the hospital for iv antib's since I am allergic to them all. So
if you could keep me in your prayers that this infection that is starting
stops and I don't need to go in hospital I would appreciate it.

I know some of you know, but maybe some of you don't. we no longer have
insurance, and no way of getting help. My last hope was dashed today. So no
money and no job and now this. I wouldn't ask because I know there are more
people with more serious things going on. But I am really scared now.

Also Denise, could use some prayers too. She is not doing good and in same
shape as me with no money to do anything about it. She is at her wits end
too. I would appreciate it.

Thanks you all. Even though I have not been writing much, I do read them and
send out prayers, vibes, thoughts, hugs etc where needed.

Oh yeah Thurs is our anniv. So great gift I get huh.

Jo, you are always in my prayers.  I will say an extra one for you and also
for Denise.  I have faith that somehow, someway, it will work out for you.
Remember you always have support here, and more friends than you could
imagine.

Hi Jo,,,, Did you know that several of us pray for you for different reasons
and you do not have to ask.  Just say what is on your mind so that we will
know.  God knows already but tell God about it too.   Tomorrow is going to
be a better day.

Squirrely - 19 Jul 2005 06:19 GMT
Thank you Janet, Kate and Harv.

Yes Harv, I have been telling God, well asking if he could see it anyway to
help us out. Not in those words though.
It is so much easier for me to ask for everyone else.

God did bless us today. It was suppose to be 108. We have no a/c in car. So
It could have gotten really really really bad for me. As I was getting sick
in the morning as it was, which activated the costo stuff. But anyways, It
only got to be 100 today. So we came back at 4:30 after being there all day.
It was 99 then. I made it. so I figure he heard my telling him, I just could
not take this heat at all.

If we still have 100 or above by thurs. We will break the record for the
most days straight at 100 or more.

Please don't apologise for asking for prayers.  Lifting someone up in
prayer doesn't cost a thing and is the greatest gift we can ever give.

Prayers are being said.

The uninsured medical act is the Hill Burton Act.  One site with
information is:  http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/hburton.html.  You can find a
lot of references and information by doing a yahoo search for "hill
burton act"

Prayers on the way for you.   Sure hope you get to feeling better and
that you can avoid the hospital stay.    Hang in there kiddo and know
that you are always being thought of and prayed for!!

God Bless!

Squirrely - 20 Jul 2005 09:32 GMT
Donna and all thanks again.

Maybe I should explain too why this worries me. I don't think I did already,
if I did please forgive my brain fog.

When I was growing up My mom was sick all 17 years that I had her. I thought
it was from the uterine cancer. But now I am sick like her. I now know it
was Hashimotos. She didn't have a diagnosis. I do but still not much good
since I cant afford medical. When I was 17 she got the Hong Kong flu and
died. So for me right now I keep seeing flash backs. So that is why I am
running scared here, more so than I normally would. Also with no money, it
doesn't help.

I had the hopes, that since Jim had not found a job in 2 yrs that the irs
would take us through about 3 yrs of living, if it came to that. But if I
end up in hospital there the ira will go. So it is not too good an outlook.

Of all the things to aplogize for asking for, prayer is not one of them.

I pray that everything turns around for you and Denise.

jo, you're ALWAYS in my prayers. it must be so scary. i hope the
infection goes away on it's own. i can imagine  how frustrating it must
be that there is little you can do about it.

not to start a political thread, but the fact that so many people in
this country are without insurance is unconscionable. it infuriates me.

hugs, sweetie,

Thank you all. Ann, thanks for that name, I will look into that. But we
probably won't qualify for it either. We have an IRA, and until we use it
up, no one will help us. That is what the problem is. So much for
retirement. ;-)

I know what you are saying Diane, it ticks me off too. The ones that need
help can't get it, and the ones that don't are somehow.

Prayers will be continuing for you SJ.  Hopefully the infection will
resolve itself without you haveing to go to the hospital. Can you check
into something called the Hall-Burton Act.  It's a government thing for
people with no insurance/money whereby hospital bills are paid at any
hospital that accepts government funds.  I'm not at all sure of the name
or details but maybe someone will jump in with the correct information.
(My hospital has a notice about it posted at admittin and in emergency
depts.)

Dear Jo,

I think of you quite often and your kind gentle spirit.  I pray things
get better real soon, and your health will continue to improve.

I have an old card from you.  Are you still at the same address?

Prayers for Denise as well.

Hi babe,

I am not into prayers but send you my bestest thoughts and as much
healing energy as possible, how horrendous to feel so bad and not being
able to afford insurance.
I do hope and wish your infection will go away without having to go to
hospital

you and Jim are always in my prayers, but I'll kick them up a few notches
now.  Don't ever feel bad about needing prayers - that's what we're here for.

I suppose your real anniversary gift is that you have one another to lean on
through everything that's been happening to you all.  May it all turn around
for you very, very soon.
