sjogren's and acupuncture

I got an interesting phone call from my dental hygienist today.
She was speaking to a professor of dentistry and the subject of saliva
stimulation for sjogren's patients came up. He has come up with a way for
acupuncture to stimulate saliva production. Sounded interesting. I am
waiting for labs from my RD and thought I would ask him if he has heard of
this.
Any thoughts?
