rofl We saw lots of bears on the way home. Mostly
black ones -- with udders. A few brown ones and then
the polar bears were interesting too. I didn't think
polar bears were supposed to have horns but these did. :)

i'm familiar with those kinds of bears. we raised 3 of them once. i didn't
know herford bears could or would jump over field fence, from the top of a
slight rise, to get to the amusement park. being a city gal, back then, i
figured they must have been bored in their two acre pen. i even considered
buying them season passes to enchanted village, so they wouldn't have to
jump the fences. it wasn't easy to encourage them to walk down the road
back to our place, either. just like kids, they didn't want to leave the
amusement park and kept turning back. y'know, it's amazing how many people
are afraid of herford bears. and dingdong, one of our 3 bears, was as
gentle and affectionate as they come. dingdong even let ranger the rooster
ride around on her head all the time. now, how could you be afraid of a
bear as silly as that?!
